Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Cross Country and Track & Field, this position is responsible for assisting the head coach with recruiting, coaching and training student-athletes in the sport of cross country and track and field. The assistant coach will advise and teach all team members to be successful both in competition and in the classroom. Understand and model the Athletic Department's goals as set forth by the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics. Set a positive example for the Department by supporting the mission and philosophy of the Athletics program and the University.
One (1) year related experience coaching Jumps and Multi-events at the college level.
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
Two or more years related experience coaching Jumps and Multi-events at the college level.
Collegiate coaching experience with one or more of the following event groups: throws, sprints, jumps and hurdles.
Proven success coaching track & field at the NCAA Division I or Division II level.
