Assistant Cross Country, Track & Field Coach

Will assist the head coach in team management on and off the field and will assist in organizing and administering of appropriate pre-season, season and post-season competition schedules, conditioning routines, and team and individualized coaching duties as necessary for a competitive quality program.

Responsibilities:

• Will assist the head coach in team management on and off the field and will assist in organizing and administering of appropriate pre-season, season and post-season competition schedules, conditioning routines, and team and individualized coaching duties as necessary for a competitive quality program.
• Will assist head coach in all areas of recruitment for the team, this includes traveling to scouts to evaluate potential players as well as planning and arranging campus visits.
• Will assist the head coach in all administrative aspects of the program including attending coaches meetings, securing team travel and accommodations, compliance and academic monitoring of students-athletes. Will attend required NCAA, SWAC and TAMU System education trainings, clinics and conferences and adhere to established rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
• Serves as primary coach to men and women long sprinters and middle distance runners. Will perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three years of coaching experience.
