Description
The Assistant Director of Development is a fundraising support position responsible for oversight of the daily operations for the Green Wave Club development office. This position oversees all development-related database management, gift receipting procedures, and athletics development gift processing. The position serves as a liaison to the Office of Advancement’s Gift Accounting team, Tulane Ticket Office, and ticketing software provider to ensure best-in-class fundraising operations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience writing and preparing fundraising solicitations and gift proposals.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication, public speaking and presentation skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, to include the ability to prioritize projects and meet established deadlines.
- Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends as necessary in the performance of assigned duties is required.
- Must have the ability to demonstrate uncompromised judgment and discretion with regard to interpersonal relationships both internally and externally.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 1 year of direct fundraising or transferable experience (marketing, admissions, public relations, alumni relations, volunteer management, or sales experience).
