Description
The Assistant Director, Compliance will assist with developing and implementing the rules education program, provide rules interpretations to coaches and staff, assist with the department's monitoring efforts, and assist with initial eligibility evaluations. The Assistant Director, Compliance will serve as the Compliance liaison for specific sports in the department and will handle all recruiting, monitoring, and interpretative requests for those sports.
Responsibilities:
- Approve awards and team entertainment provided to student-athletes.
- Coordinate the student-athlete complimentary admissions program.
- Monitor employment of student-athletes and other student-athlete forms.
- Maintain official team rosters and assist with clearing student-athletes for practice and competition.
- Assist with initial eligibility/admissions evaluations.
- Assist with preparation of eligibility waivers (e.g., medical hardships).
- Approve student-athlete promotional activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent training/experience.
- Thorough knowledge of program activity and best practices.
- Highly developed problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work with frequent interruptions.
- Effective listening skills.
- Highly effective oral and written communication skills.
- Must be proficient in the use of basic computer applications.
- Effective customer service skills.
- Working knowledge of NCAA Division I and Conference policies, rules and regulations.
