This position reports directly to the Senior Associate Athletics Director of NCAA Compliance and is responsible for assisting and managing the day-to-day operations of the NCAA Compliance Office, through interpreting and making determinations on matters related to compliance, monitoring various compliance related systems, mechanisms, process and enforcing NCAA regulations as they pertain to Division I Athletics.
Good working knowledge and understanding of NCAA & MWC Manual and governance structure.
Ability to develop a good working knowledge of University and State business policies, procedures and regulations, including but not limited to State Administrative Manual, Board of Regents Code and Nevada Administrative Code.
Ability to develop a good working knowledge of UNLV and MWC initial/continuing eligibility, recruiting and financial aid rules and regulations.
Ability to develop a good working knowledge of UNLV degree requirements and compliance policies and procedures.
Working knowledge of computer systems and various software packages.
Advanced skill in communications and public relations.
Ability to speak and write using appropriate vocabulary and grammar to obtain information, and explain policies and procedures.
Interpersonal skills necessary to deal with issues which at times may be sensitive in nature or occur in various emotional environments.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to work with and maintain confidential material.
Ability to maintain accurate and complete records.
