Description
Assists with the integrated student recruitment function to include admissions and associated advisement functions such as registration, financial aid, for all student athletes and band students. Handles special projects aligned to Cheyney's Recruitment and Marketing Plan.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage aspects of prospective communications for transfers and first year candidates.
- Develop and maintain relationships with partners who assist with development of recruitment toolkit including the admissions website.
- Oversee the student ambassador program.
- Design and implement strategic enrollment campaigns and initiatives via technology and other interactive platforms.
- Proactively recruit students through telephone, email, written, text message, and personal contacts at recruitment events
- Actively seek to expand to new territory; develop new relationships for partnership and collaboration at feeder schools and colleges.
- Develop, implement, and oversee Personal and Group Visits, Orientation Days, Open House, and other events specific to transfers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree; master's degree preferred.
- Three years' experience in student recruitment, communication, or aligned experience.
- Experience in student recruitment and advising and retention.
- Demonstrated motivation for timely student outreach and guidance.
- Ability to positively interact with diverse groups of students, faculty, and staff.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and outstanding organizational skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, and experience with Power Campus.
- Able to strategically communicate to prospective transfer and freshman candidates.
