Description
Long Island University (LIU), an NCAA DI institution, is seeking an Assistant Director of Athletic Business Operations. The Assistant Director of Athletic Operations is a member of the LIU Athletics Business Operations team and manages day-to-day financial operations for designated sports and administrative units within Long Island University Athletics.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day monitoring of budgets.
- Processing expenses.
- Managing invoices and payments through the procurement system.
- Handling reimbursement requests.
- Conducting credit card reconciliations.
- Coordinating travel logistics.
- Ensuring adherence to financial policies.
- Administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Athletic Business Operations and the Athletics department.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (foreign equivalent or higher)
- One-to-two years of full-time experience working in collegiate or professional Athletic Business operations.
- Demonstrated organizational skills, including the ability to plan, establish priorities and successfully manage multiple priority projects.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain positive interpersonal relations.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational level, and project a positive, professional attitude.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Office 365 and Adobe Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to academic and athletic success.
