Description
Reporting to the Athletic Director, the Assistant Director of Athletics Business Operations provides support and guidance to the effective use of athletics financial resources by performing functions related to the evaluation, reporting, analysis, and compliance as well as budget operations and maintenance for the Athletics programs and units.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides support to the Athletics budget preparation process and consolidation of the annual operating budget.
- Provide oversight and guidance for athletic camp activities including: scheduling, registration, staffing of athletic camps; issue purchase orders and pay invoices; ensure compliance with camp policies and procedures; work with conference services to schedule housing and dining; work with the controller’s office to review profit and loss statement and process payouts.
- Assist the Assistant AD for Compliance, to help manage name, image and likeness legislation for student-athletes, that was adopted for August, 2020.
- Develops and prepares reports as required.
- Assist the compliance office with the coordination and reporting of NCAA Grant Funds (e.g. NCAA Academic Enhancement, NCAA Student Assistance Fund, NCAA One-Time Distribution.)
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- At least five (5) years’ experience in higher education administration including experience in planning, budgeting, and evaluating programs.
