Description
The Assistant Director of Development - Athletics is responsible for qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors and prospects for major and annual gifts to Baylor, specifically Baylor Athletics. The minimum qualification for this position are a Bachelor's degree, two years of experience, and a Christian faith. A Master's degree is preferred. Candidates should also possess the following skills and abilities.
What You Will Do:
- Cultivate, solicit, and steward a specific portfolio for major and annual (Baylor Bear Foundation) gifts to Baylor, especially for Baylor Athletics.
- With the leadership of the Associate AD/Sr. Director of Development, establish yearly measurable goals and objectives and related metrics for new gift commitments secured, proposals made, and prospect meetings held.
- Participate fully in University Development's prospect management and related prospect development programs in order to inspire trust, encourage creative thinking, and collaborate with other Baylor staff and volunteers to significantly increase private gifts to Baylor.
- Collaborate with Baylor Athletics’ leadership to develop impactful agendas, attend sporting events and partner with network events, consistent with Baylor's and Baylor Athletics’ strategic plans for major donors.
