Description
Drake Athletics is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the opening of Assistant Director of Facilities, Events, and Operations. Reporting to Director of Events, Facilities, and Operations, the Assistant Director will be responsible for the day-to-day scheduling of the Drake University athletics facilities for athletics team practices, student groups, and other special events. The Assistant Director will oversee the management of events which includes coordinating, training, and supervising Event Staff for the Drake-hosted events.
Qualifications:
- Baccalaureate Degree – knowledge of specialized principles or techniques normally obtained through a four-year college/university academic program
- An equivalent in-depth specialized training program directly related to the type of work being performed.
Job Duties:
- 40% - Coordinate day-to-day aspects of operation and maintenance for assigned athletics facilities. - (Essential)
- 30% - Administer Drake Athletics, campus, and external events as assigned. - (Essential)
- 10% - Maintain inventory of all athletics facility equipment. - (Essential)
- 10% - Liaison with Facility Services and coordinate facility work orders. - (Essential)
- 5% - Assist in the execution of NCAA Championships, Conference Championships, Drake Sports Camps, and external events. - (Essential)
- 5% - Perform other duties, as assigned. - (Essential)
