Description
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in exercise science field.
- Minimum two years of experience in strength and conditioning on the university or college level.
- Minimum one year of administrative experience in a sports training facility, department, or program.
- USA weightlifting certification.
- Minimum one year of speed development experience.
Responsibilities:
- Enables student-athletes to perform to their physical potential in their sport through the development and management of individual and group weight, strength, and fitness training programs.
- Develops programs by evaluating current physical conditioning, having a knowledge of the various sports and associated exercises, tailoring strength programs for specific needs, demonstrating proper performance of exercises, correcting mistakes.
- Manages programs by monitoring progress and providing an assessment of development.
- Assists in the administration of the entire program, including assisting with daily weight room practices and conditioning responsibilities.
- Provides an overall positive environment for the strength and conditioning development of all student-athletes.
- Contributes to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds.
