Description
Lead and manage a comprehensive Intramural Sports program that offers over 32 intramural sport programs and serves over 4,000 participants annually, and a comprehensive Club Sports program that offers over 25 Club Sport programs and has over 400 Club Sport athletes.
Responsibilities:
- Recruit, hire, develop, and supervise a full-time program director, 100 - 120 student staff including, graduate assistant(s), program assistant(s), supervisors, scorekeepers, and officials.
- Mentor and advise over 60 student volunteer club sport officers.
- Establish the vision, identity, and values for CRI's Intramural Sports and Club Sports programs and develop strategies that drive growth, continuous improvement, safety, quality of programs, participant satisfaction, and improving administrative processes to increase efficiencies and achieve goals.
- Provide leadership of program development including strategic planning, marketing, budgeting, execution, and assessment of programs and student learning outcomes.
- Manage facilities related to program area, and purchase and maintain intramural sports and club sports equipment and inventory.
- Foster community and campus partnerships including academic groups in support of the Intramural Sports and Club Sports Program.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in recreation, management, or related field.
- Three (3) or more years of related work experience.
- Membership and active participant in NIRSA.
- CPR/AED and FA Instructor certified.
- Active football, basketball, soccer, baseball, or softball official.
