Description
The Assistant Football Coach is responsible for assisting in the evaluation, recruitment, training and coaching of student-athletes to compete successfully against the highest level of NCAA Division III Football within the MASCAC. The Assistant Football Coach will assist with the overall management and administration of the assigned to the football program, compliance with the budget of the program, recruiting, monitor academic progress of student-athletes, fundraising, equipment room, training and performance of student-athletes.
Responsibilities:
- Support the head coach in executing the sports training and instructional program by providing skill-specific coaching, assisting with practice sessions, managing game-related responsibilities, and handling equipment room tasks.
- Effectively recruit prospective student-athletes as directed by the head coach.
- Collaborate with academic support staff to assist players in achieving their academic goals.
- Coordinate with athletic training and strength and conditioning teams to ensure proper player conditioning and rehabilitation.
- Assist with administrative responsibilities, including organizing fundraising and community service initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned or required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree and/or coaching certification preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience as an assistant coach at the collegiate level preferred.
- Playing experience at the collegiate level preferred.
