Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group instruction to develop player skills, strength, and conditioning.
- Support game-day operations, including play calling, sideline management, and player rotations.
- Monitor and ensure player safety, including proper warm-ups, hydration, and injury prevention.
- Assist in scouting opponents and reviewing game film for analysis and strategy development.
- Foster positive relationships with student-athletes, emphasizing discipline, teamwork, and academic accountability.
- Communicate with parents, administration, and other coaching staff as needed.
- Adhere to all school, league, and state athletic policies and regulations.
- Support fundraising, team events, and community engagement activities.
- Coach Sub-varsity as needed.
- Other roles as required.
Qualifications:
- CT Coaching Certification required.
- Previous experience coaching football at the high school, college, or youth level preferred.
- Strong knowledge of football fundamentals, strategy, and player development.
- Ability to effectively communicate with players, coaching staff, and parents.
- Commitment to fostering a positive team culture and sportsmanship.
- CPR, First Aid, and concussion certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to pass all required background checks and certifications as mandated by the school district and state.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and travel for games as required.
