Ottawa University, in Surprise, AZ, has an opening for a full time Assistant Football Coach reporting to the Head Football Coach, this is a 12-month position. The Assistant Football Coach assists with the day-to-day management of the Football team, which requires some night and weekend work. Candidates for the Assistant Football Coach should possess a commitment to Christian higher education, utilize servant leadership, and be willing to assume the duties listed in the following general position description. Responsible for assisting with the administration of a University athletic program including the recruitment of student athletes, coaching, practice management, athletic team competition management, and the retention of student athletes. Extensive travel is required.
Qualified candidates must have coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level. Requires a person with a strong commitment to academic and athletic excellence, and a dedication to instilling the Champions of Character values into their coaching style and expectations of players.
