Description
Coaches are responsible for providing direct instruction to students and maintaining an environment conducive to learning assisting each participant to achieve. Education includes sport skill, technique, and an appreciation for the values of discipline and sportsmanship. This position is an extension of the educational environment of the District.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Assume responsibility for the regulations under MSHSAA and other legal requirements to ensure student participation, safety, conduct, and general welfare of the students participating in the activity .
- Build and maintain secure relationships with students as well as maintaining professional relationships with colleagues, parents, and patrons in order to increase performance and participate in an interscholastic activity.
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with timelines including but not limited to, equipment/supply inventories, student and team records, coach records, and facility usage and records.
- Represent the District maintaining integrity, confidentiality, and conduct.
- Other duties as directed by the supervisor
- Regular and reliable attendance as it aligns to the scope of this position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Missouri teaching certification preferred.
- One year of teaching or educational experience preferred.
- One year of coaching experience preferred.
- Eligible candidates must be able to meet the MSHSAA coaching minimum requirements.
