Description
An assistant Football Coach shall be responsible for assisting the Head Football Coach in carrying out the responsibilities and supervision of the football program. An Assistant Football Coach will report directly to the Head Football Coach.
Job Duties:
- Assist the Head Coach with on-the-field coaching at practices and games.
- Responsible for recruiting and managing the offensive line and ensures the offensive line excels both on the field and in the classroom.
- Responsible for coordinating the run game on offense in conjunction with the head football coach.
- Assist in the recruitment of student-athletes both in-state and out-of-state.
- Assist with preparing the football field for practices and games to include sweeping/blowing the field, vacuuming the field, and setting up stations.
- Prepare travel requests for away games and recruiting trips.
- Attend all meetings requested by the Head Coach and/or College Dean of Athletics.
- Assist the Head Coach in organizing and running scheduled Football camps in an effort to raise funds for the football program.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited college.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Football coaching experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills.
- A record of compliance with applicable athletic governing rules and regulations.
