Description
Primary Duties:
- Coach student-athletes, including all team practices and scheduled games/competitions; assist in the development of game preparation and strategy;
- Condition and train student-athletes (including skill demonstration) in order to develop skill, character, and teamwork in football.
- Ensure that all University, conference and NCAA rules and regulations are followed including student-athlete eligibility, recruiting, financial aid, scheduling and academic progress.
- Follow University procurement and travel policies.
- Work in collaboration with fellow coaches and staff under the direction of the defensive coordinator and head football coach.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited 4-year institution.
- Willing and able to work nights and weekends as needed to fulfill job duties.
- Physical ability to fulfill duties of the position, including skill demonstration.
- At least one year of successful coaching in football at high school or higher level; this experience can include intern or graduate assistant work.
- Experience with, or commitment to, working in a diverse work environment.
- Experience in positions or activities that required skills in cooperation, organization, communication and problem solving.
- Experience in a position or activity that required knowledge of NCAA and/or RMAC rules and regulations.
