Assistant Football Registered Dietitian

The Assistant Football Registered Dietitian plays a primary role in the support and growth of our football program. Reporting directly to the Director of Sports Nutrition / Football, this position will be a valuable part of a team of six dietitians, as well as an integral part of the football support staff. This position will enhance the nutrition services for our football student athletes.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Director of Nutrition / Football with all football nutrition related tasks including team education and individual counseling, supervising performance center meals, on field hydration & fueling, and travel nutrition.
• Manage the Gatorade Fuel Bar including but not limited to training & overseeing all student workers, fuel bar schedule, and inventory & ordering.
• Assist in management of team nutritional needs including pre-competition meals, hydration, catering, recovery, supplementation, individual counseling, team talks, Bod Pods, etc.
• Assist and manage team travel nutrition needs. Will travel with football for away games.
• Provide consistent communication with coaching staff, Sports Medicine staff, Strength &
• Conditioning staff, Sports Psychology staff, and administration regarding sports nutrition related issues.
• Participate in Recruiting Initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics or completion of DPD credits.
• Registered Dietitian or RD eligible.
• Sports Nutrition Experience.
• Ability to work a non-standard work week.
