Description
The Assistant Strength Coach will Assist the Head Football Strength and Conditioning and other Assistant Strength Coaches with all areas of training including weight programs, specific physical conditioning programs for student-athletes, and maintaining equipment and weight room.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure equipment safety and maintenance.
- Responsible for weight room safety protocols, appearance, cleanliness, and organization.
- Help develop, design, and implement weight training programs as well as conditioning drill for a primary sports and others sports as determined by the Head Football Strength & Conditioning Coach.
- Supervise assigned student-athletes during training and conditioning workouts.
- Teach proper form and technique to prevent injuries during workouts and prepare fitness assessments of assigned student-athletes.
- Ensure compliance with NCAA and institutional rules and regulations pertaining to the Strength and Conditioning program.
- Supervise, schedule, and assign duties to Graduate Assistants.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and one year of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
- Must obtain CSCCA certification within the first year of employment.
