Description
North Middlesex Regional High School is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Assistant Golf Coach to support the varsity golf program. This individual will work in collaboration with the Head Coach to help develop student-athletes’ golf skills, understanding of the game, and overall character within an education-based athletics framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with planning and conducting practices, drills, and training sessions.
- Help prepare athletes for match play and course management.
- Provide on-course guidance during matches and assist with lineup management.
- Offer individualized coaching to help players improve swing mechanics, short game, and course etiquette.
- Serve as a positive mentor and role model for student-athletes, promoting sportsmanship and teamwork.
- Help foster a respectful, inclusive, and supportive environment where all athletes feel valued.
- Reinforce positive behaviors aligned with school values and team expectations.
Qualifications:
- Experience in golf, either as a player or coach.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Enthusiasm for working with high school athletes.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with coaching staff.
- Must meet all MIAA and NFHS certification requirements.
