Assistant Head Coach, Men’s Basketball

Wheeling University, an NCAA Division II Catholic university, and member of the Mountain East Conference invites applications for a full-time Assistant Head Coach, Men's Basketball.

Performance Standards:

• Able to perform duties with minimal supervision.
• Ability to take and give direction.
• Can coach athletes regardless of performance level.
• Helps athletes use their talents to achieve key goals.
• Ability to recognize athletes potential and works to build on it.
• Supports athletes going outside of their comfort zone.
• Encourages repeating and building upon areas of strength.
• Suggests methods to improve performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Collegiate playing experience; Prior experience on collegiate coaching staff preferred.
• Required to ensure NCAA, conference and University policies and mandated requirements are correctly interpreted and met and documentation is maintained per policies and procedures; maintain qualifications and certification(s) and complete required annual training.
