Assistant High School Girls Track and Field

The Wayzata High School Girls Track and Field team is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable assistant coach to join our team. Ideally the candidate would have coaching and/or running experience. This position will work in tandem with the head coach and additional assistant coaches to motivate athletes, create training plans, attend daily practices, and support at competitions.

Ideal Qualifications:

• Be present every day for duration of practice.
• Knowledge of how to build fitness.
• Ability to motivate athletes.
• Knowledge of running recovery tools, nutrition.
• Encourage and support longer meet days.
• Ensure health and safety of all athletes is monitored.
• Assist in bringing ideas to the team that connect athletes and build community.
• Experience in cross country running (ideal but not required).
