Assistant High School Volleyball Coach

The Adel DeSoto Minburn Community School District is seeking a highly motivated, quality applicant as our Assistant High School Volleyball Coach for the Fall 2025-26 season.

Essential Functions:

• Support the Head Coach in implementing the overall volleyball program for grades 7-12.
• Assist in teaching and reinforcing the fundamental philosophies, skills, and techniques established by the Head Coach.
• Collaborate with other coaches to develop and execute game plans.
• Help analyze opponents and prepare scouting reports as directed by the Head Coach.
• Assist in planning and conducting practices under the direction of the Head Coach.
• Promote player safety by adhering to proper training techniques, safety protocols, and injury procedures.
• Maintain and manage team equipment as assigned by the Head Coach.
• Support game day logistics, including player rotations, sideline management, and in-game adjustments.
• Provide input for end-of-season summaries and player evaluations.

Qualifications:

• State of Iowa Coaching Authorization.
• High school diploma.
• Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work well with staff, parents, and students.
