Description
This position is responsible for assisting the Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach in all facets of the program, including but not limited to: organizing and conducting team training and practices, team travel logistics, scholar-athlete development, and compliance with all applicable rules and regulations. Additional administrative responsibilities as assigned by the Head Coach.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist head coach with developing and implementing training and instruction for practices and competitions.
- Focus on Goalie training and development as well as field player development.
- Assist with all administrative aspects of the sports program. This includes but is not limited to: prompt completion of all administrative paperwork, team travel logistics, creation of practice plans, scholar-athlete and team development, and collaboration with CMS athletics staff in the areas of sports medicine, business operation, compliance, equipment, facilities, and events.
- Represent CMS Athletic Department and the lacrosse program positively within the SCIAC as well as regionally and nationally.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
- EDUCATION: A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- EXPERIENCE: Previous collegiate participation and coaching is preferred. Experience in recruitment of academically focused scholar-athletes is preferred.
- LICENSES: A valid driver’s license is required.
- GROOMING AND APPEARANCE: The Claremont Colleges seek to maintain a neat and professional image at all times.
- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Moderate (up to 30 lbs.)
