Assistant Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach

Carnegie Mellon University is seeking applicants for a full-time assistant coach in its intercollegiate Men’s and Women’s Tennis programs. A national research university, Carnegie Mellon is a member of the NCAA Division III intercollegiate sports program.

Core responsibilities will include:

• Recruitment of potential student-athletes.
• Demonstrate sincere interest in personal, academic, and athletic progress of student-athletes.
• Exhibit supportive and cooperative behavior pursuing sport programs goals set by the head coach.
• Leadership ability and professional behavior when working with student-athletes.
• Assist head coach with organization and implementation of daily practice sessions and games.
• Transporting team in vans to off campus matches and practices.
• Willingness and ability to string racquets.
• Teaching in the physical education program.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 1-3 years of college tennis coaching experience preferred.
• A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is proven may be considered.
