Western Colorado University’s Department of Athletics seeks a full-time Assistant Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Coach/Coordinator of Athletics Facilities. This is a full-time, twelve-month position with a salary of $31,000 including a full benefit package.
Responsibilities of the position include, 50% assisting the Head Track & Field Coach with implementation of a comprehensive and competitive NCAA DII Track & Field Program and 50% as the Coordinator of Athletics Facilities and Events. This includes, but is not limited to, recruiting, training development, practice implementation, meet management, travel planning, fundraising, and athlete management. The Assistant Coach position is targeted towards the development and management of speed and power events on the track. The ideal candidate will have collegiate coaching experience in the throws, jumps and/or multi-events. Candidate must have the ability to work independently as needed, while being committed to the mission and development of Western Track & Field and adhering to Western, Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, and NCAA regulations.
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred. One year of collegiate Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Coach coaching experience and a valid driver’s license is required. Candidates should have a USATF Level 1, USTFCCCA Track & Field Technical Certification, or equivalent. Must be willing to become NCAA DII recruiting certified and have current certification or ability to obtain certification in First Aid / CPR / AED.
