Description
Lees-McRae College is seeking candidates for an Assistant Men’s Lacrosse Coach. This is a full-time, 12-month position. Qualifications include: bachelor’s degree required. Candidates must have experience coaching and/or playing at the collegiate level (NCAA Division II and Defensive experience preferred but not required). Candidates must have sound written and verbal communication skills and a commitment to academic and athletic success. Additional preferred qualifications include an understanding of NCAA rules and regulations, experience recruiting and retaining qualified men’s lacrosse student-athletes.
Essential Functions:
- Assisting the Head Coach in the day-to-day operations of a NCAA Division II lacrosse program, which includes preparation, organization, and implementation of effective practice schedules, recruiting, and in-game coaching.
- Recruiting and retaining qualified men’s lacrosse student-athletes.
- Training and developing student-athletes.
- Monitoring student-athletes’ academic progress and growth as a person.
- Assuring the lacrosse program demonstrates a commitment to academics and maintains compliance with the NCAA, Conference Carolinas, Lees-McRae College, and State of North Carolina rules and regulations.
- Performing additional duties as assigned by the head coach and the college.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience working in Collegiate Lacrosse.
