Description
The Assistant Men’s Lacrosse Coach (Offensive Coordinator) serves the Department of Athletics, Fitness and Recreation in the Division of Student Affairs. This position reports to the Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach and supports the mission of the College in its focus on student development, outcomes and success. This is a ten (10) month position with benefits that includes morning, evening and weekend responsibilities.
Essential Functions:
- Provide assistance to the Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach.
- Recruit strong candidates for Kenyon College both on and off the field by establishing and maintaining effective communication with prospective student-athletes; including evaluations and contacts, traveling to events, setting up campus visits, conducting tours, and managing ARMs.
- Practice and Game Planning, with focus on offense, Face-Off Men, and Man-Up Unit.
- Film breakdown, analysis and exchange.
- Manage substitution box during games.
- Assist with travel and meal planning for away games.
- Assist with managing social media for the program.
- Assist with operating Kenyon College Men’s Lacrosse Prospect Day.
- Assist with general Equipment Management and Goals/Nets.
- Assist with Community Service projects for the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Prior successful lacrosse playing experience is required.
- Collegiate men’s lacrosse coaching experience is preferred.
- Experience in recruitment of academically focused-student athletes is preferred.
- CPR, First Aid and AED Certification is required (and can be completed after hire).
