Description
Reporting to the Head Men’s Soccer Coach, the Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach is responsible for assisting the head coach in meeting the goals of guiding and building an elite-level NCAA Division II program. This requires the promotion of academic achievement and character of the student-athlete, fans, and the overall College community.
Essential Functions:
- Assist the Head Coach in the day-to-day operations which includes preparation, organization and implementation of effective practice schedules, off-season programs and in-game coaching.
- Evaluation and recruitment of elite prospective student-athletes.
- Game preparation.
- Training and development all student-athletes with a focus on goalkeeping.
- Monitoring student-athletes’ academic progress and growth as a person.
- Ability to participate and lead in practice and drills.
- Individual workouts, conditioning, and strength training with players.
- Direction, instruction and assistance with summer soccer camps.
- Game film study and preparation.
- Game day meal planning and organization.
- Travel coordination for away competitions.
- Investment in lives and growth of student-athletes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Previous coaching experience at the high school or college level.
- Excellent written and oral communication, well-developed presentation skills, and outstanding customer and quality service skills.
- Competency with Microsoft Office applications and social media marketing platforms.
- Ability to build relationships with student-athletes and families.
