The job of Assistant Principal is done for the purpose/s supporting the principal and assigned personnel; receiving, distributing and communicating information to enforce school, district and state policies; maintaining safety of school environment; coordinating assigned school site activities; assisting students to modify inappropriate behavior and to develop successful interpersonal skills; and communicating information to staff, principal and the public. This position supports the primary function of instructional leadership with the school principal.
Responsibilities include: working independently under broad organizational policies to achieve organizational objectives; managing multiple departments; and taking budget expenditures. Utilization of significant resources from other work units is routinely required to perform the job’s functions. There is a continual opportunity to significantly impact the Organization’s services.
KNOWLEDGE is required to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percents, and/or ratios; review and interpret highly technical information, write technical materials, and/or speak persuasively to implement desired actions: and analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions.
