Assistant Softball Coach

Assist the Head Coach in Planning, organizing and directing a program to recruit student-athletes to participate in Women’s Softball. Help perform on field coaching and instruction. Other duties include scouting, maintaining statistics and performing tasks required to insure a competitive intercollegiate Women’s Softball Program.

Qualifications:

• The candidate must have a High School Diploma or General Education Development Certificate.
• Prior experience as a softball player or coach.
• Possess a valid Illinois Driver’s License and good driving record. All coaches must be certified in CPR/AED and their certification must be on file in the Athletic Department.
• Must be able to demonstrate the Morton College core values of compassion, fairness, respect, responsibility, tolerance and truth.

Job Duties:

• Assist the Head Coach in recruiting.
• Assist with instruction and teaching.
• Assist with team and individual statistics.
• Assist with maintenance of the field and equipment.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
