Assistant Softball Coach

This is an exempt, part-time position and must adhere to the regulations stipulated in the Mount Marty University Staff Handbook. The Assistant Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Coaches with practice preparation, scouting, recruiting, scheduling of games, and other various athletic activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review of the program and student-athlete achievement for improvement of coaching methods and procedures.
• Complete the NAIA Coaching with Character exercise, and be sure all assistants have also completed the program on a yearly basis.
• Sustain a roster of high quality and competency.
• Maintenance of official athletic documentation.
• Represent the university at appropriate community and sporting events.
• Maintain, and report problems to the head coach, any problems with facilities, equipment, or transportation.
• Provide information to business office to permit driving of school vehicles and adequate liability coverage.
• Provide adequate supervision for athletes.
• Assume other related responsibilities as assigned by the Head Coach and Athletic Director.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience in coaching.
• Commitment to the mission of Mount Marty University.
