Description
Under the direction of the Director of Athletics or their designee, the GAC Coordinator /Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach is responsible for oversight and execution of various physical fitness and conditioning programs; requires the ability to teach HPER and activity classes as assigned, as well as assists with Athletics Coordinator of Strength and Conditioning with team, group, and individual training for NMMI’s sports teams.
Tasks:
- Oversight of Godfrey Athletic Center operations.
- Develop and execute the Corps Physical Fitness program in accordance with current training philosophies and modalities.
- Develop and coordinate the Prep Physical Fitness program in accordance with the needs of the individual cadet’s academy. Including knowledge of service academies’ physical testing and training protocols (PT/CFA).
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited program.
- Two years of related experience.
- Must obtain CSCS or SCCC certificate within 6 months of hire.
