Description
The Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach/Football Sports Science Coordinator will assist in the development and implementation of a comprehensive Sports Science protocol that objectively tracks and monitors the Football Student-Athletes. In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for implementing the comprehensive Football Strength & Conditioning program under the guidance of the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach, as well as other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics, the Assistant AD for Sports Medicine, or the Head Strength and Conditioning coach.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- 1 year of experience in strength and conditioning coaching or working as a sports coach.
- Must possess (or have the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire) and maintain a valid Texas driver’s license with no more than three moving violations and/or at fault accidents within the past 36 months, and no convictions or deferred dispositions for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) or Driving Under the Influence (DUI) within the past five years.
- Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC).
- Required to have/obtain within 30 days of hire CPR and AED Certification.
Essential Functions:
- Oversees, manages, and conducts all essential testing of Football Student-Athletes.
- Implement training programs for the football team and other assigned teams under the direction of the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach.
- Assist with cleanliness protocols for the Patterson Sports Performance Center Weight Room.
- Develop team and athlete specific training programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
