Description
Iowa State University is accepting applications for an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach to support the NCAA Division I football program under the direction of the Director of Football Strength and Conditioning. This position will:
- Evaluate, design and implement cutting-edge strength, agility, and conditioning workouts for assigned positions and seasons;
- Teach and demonstrate proper techniques and safety, conduct performance testing, adapt workouts based on each student-athletes needs and health, and motivate athletes;
- Conduct data metrics, analysis, and daily performance reports on student-athletes;
- Work collaboratively with the Sports Medicine professionals and Coaching staff;
- Contribute to and enhance a competitive athletic experience;
- Establish and maintain an environment conducive to the welfare and academic success of the student-athletes;
- Establish and maintain effective interactions with students, colleagues, university staff and administrators, alumni, media and the public;
- Commitment to and responsibility for adhering to all rules and regulations of the University, Big 12 Conference, and NCAA.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience coaching strength and conditioning for a professional or collegiate football program.
- Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA or Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) through the CSCCa.
- CPR/AED and First Aid certified.
