Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach, Football

Iowa State University is accepting applications for an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach to support the NCAA Division I football program under the direction of the Director of Football Strength and Conditioning. This position will:

• Evaluate, design and implement cutting-edge strength, agility, and conditioning workouts for assigned positions and seasons;
• Teach and demonstrate proper techniques and safety, conduct performance testing, adapt workouts based on each student-athletes needs and health, and motivate athletes;
• Conduct data metrics, analysis, and daily performance reports on student-athletes;
• Work collaboratively with the Sports Medicine professionals and Coaching staff;
• Contribute to and enhance a competitive athletic experience;
• Establish and maintain an environment conducive to the welfare and academic success of the student-athletes;
• Establish and maintain effective interactions with students, colleagues, university staff and administrators, alumni, media and the public;
• Commitment to and responsibility for adhering to all rules and regulations of the University, Big 12 Conference, and NCAA.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience coaching strength and conditioning for a professional or collegiate football program.
• Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA or Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) through the CSCCa.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certified.
