Description
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
-
Assist in designing, instructing, and supervising student athletes in proper techniques of strength training movements, aerobic/anaerobic conditioning, speed development, power development, flexibility, nutritional education, and testing and evaluation protocols. Meet and consult with Team Staff/s to create specific-programming to team and individual needs.

Work in conjunction with the athletic training staff and team physicians in regards to effective rehabilitation, lateralization strategies for training, and treatment programs for injured and return to sport student-athletes.

Supervise and schedule work-study students.

Create and maintain a clean, organized, properly functioning gym space and keep proper records/databases from athletic programming.

Adhere to the highest standards of integrity and work in compliance with all University, Liberty League, ECAC, and NCAA D1 and D3 rules and regulations.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree required and Minimum 1-2 years of relevant work experience required. Learned knowledge and skills to support a variety of routine tasks requiring some degree of difficulty.

NSCA - CSCS or CSCCa - SSSC Certification Required.

Thorough understanding and working knowledge of federal, state, local, and NCAA rules (D1 and D3), policies and procedures required.

Ability to lift 30 pounds required.

Display a comprehensive and functional knowledge of strength and conditioning. Have the ability to assist/lead training and practice sessions, provide leadership for student-athletes, interact in an effective and appropriate manner with diverse populations, the College community and the public.

Possess strong independent organizational; interpersonal; oral communication, and computer skills.

Proficient with Microsoft office applications, data collection, evaluation, and interpretation.

Ability to work early mornings, nights, and weekends.
