The mission of the NC State Department of Athletics is to prepare student-athletes to compete at the highest level and to inspire them to be leaders now and for the future by providing the best environment to achieve their athletic, academic and personal aspirations as well as providing support for the professional development of our coaches and staff, all within the role of the greater institutional relationships to the University. North Carolina State University competes as an NCAA Division I team in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Essential Job Duties:
- Design and Implementation of strength, flexibility, mobility, agility, speed, and conditioning program for assigned sports. Training protocols are expected to be within the NC State Strength training philosophy.
- Identify and prepare for daily routines, both individual and group settings for weight room and on field work (Baseball).
- Lead and oversee daily pre-practice movement preparation and activation for individual and team (Baseball).
- Integration with on field staff to improve players movement patterns.
- Assessment of pitching/hitting biomechanics – Work in heavy collaboration with ATC/pitching coach for development of post-outing recovery sessions/lifts (Baseball).
- Utilize various technologies (Perch, Keiser, Smartabase).
- Maintain knowledge of latest trends in performance training and leading practices in sport responsibilities. Will be expected to provide input on training theories in rotational sport methodology.
- Implement timely tests and evaluations of assigned programs.
- Ability to travel.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5+ years experience working in a Collegiate Strength & Conditioning program.
