Description
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or related field and two years of experience in strength and conditioning training with collegiate or professional athletes.
- Certification as a strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) or Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) along with CPR and First Aid Certification.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the supervision and implementation of the annual Football training program.
- Instruct student-athletes on effective, proper and safe strength and conditioning techniques and use of equipment.
- Collaborate with athletic trainers in designing injury prevention and injury reconditioning programs.
- Record data in charts in Excel programs.
- Communicate effectively with student-athletes, coaching staff, athletic trainers, nutritionists, and other athletic department staff.
- Assist in the stocking of the football nutrition fuel center in the weight room.
- Assist in combine and Pro Day training.
- Maintain a safe and effective weight room with a focus on the health and welfare of the student-athlete.
- Administer the strength and conditioning program in compliance with all University and NCAA rules.
