Assistant Track and Field Coach

Sweet Briar College seeks an assistant coach to support the training, recruiting, and performance of its new track & field program. The Asst. Track and Field Coach is responsible for promoting Sweet Briar College Athletics through the academic, on-field and off-field development of the track and field program.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Practice planning with head coach: Asst. Coach will be working primarily with sprints and jumps athletes.
• On field coaching for traditional and non-traditional seasons.
• Meet day duties including driving van to away competitions.
• Team building and character development.
• Conflict management.

Qualifications:

• 4-years of collegiate T/F experience, preferably sprints or jumps.
• Coaching education.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills written and verbal.
• Program implementation and collaboration with a diverse population.
• Ability to maintain strict levels of confidentiality.
• Must adhere to NCAA and ODAC rules and regulations.
