Assistant Track & Cross Country Coach

Under the direct supervision of the Head Track & Cross Country Coach, this position is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the University’s varsity track and cross country program. The Assistant Coach will primarily provide coaching instruction to track and cross country athletes.

Essential Functions:

• This position is responsible for assisting in the implementation of individualized track and cross country programs for student-athletes assigned by the Head Coach.
• This position works closely with the Head Coach to suggest and create sport specific training programs to enhance the student-athletes overall track and/or cross country performance.
• This position will also serve as the recruiting coordinator for the men’s and women’s track and cross country programs and thus will require continuous interaction with the department’s compliance office and academic coordinator to evaluate prospective student-athlete’s admissibility and predict the academic success of admissible student-athletes to the track & cross country programs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Approximately 1-2 years NCAA coaching experience as well as previous track or cross country running experience at the collegiate or professional level.
