Assistant Track & Field Coach

Carnegie Mellon University is seeking applicants for a part-time, Assistant Coach in its intercollegiate Track & Field program. A national research university, Carnegie Mellon is a member of the NCAA Division III intercollegiate sports program.

Core Responsibilities:

• Working primarily with sprinting and hurdling events.
• Demonstrating competency in sprinting and hurdling technique instruction.
• Understanding and use of touchdown times.
• Motivation and ability to conduct practice sessions under the direction of the head coach.
• Weight lifting, meet management, and the supervision of equipment.
• Demonstrate sincere interest in personal, academic and athletic progress of student-athlete.
• Exhibit supportive and cooperative behavior pursuing sport programs goals as set by the head coach.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 1-3 years of athletic coaching experience required.
• Or a combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is proven may be considered.
