Assistant Varsity Baseball Coach

RESPONSIBILITTIES:

• Under the supervision of the Assistant Principal, Athletic Director and the High School Head Coach, will work to coordinate the Stevens High School and Claremont Middle School Baseball program.
• Develop and establish a high-quality program founded on sound principles, strong team values, and the ethics of hard work, commitment, loyalty, honesty, respect and sportsmanship all within a fun learning atmosphere.
• Help to communicate all information regarding the Stevens High School and Claremont Middle School Baseball program to the parents, and community.

ABILITY TO:

• Work cooperatively with the assistant principal, athletic director and head coach, administration, staff, parents, community and key stakeholders of SHS and CMS Baseball.
• Motivate and connect with our student athletes.
• Be an integral member of a program that spans grades 6-12.
• Work cooperatively with and support all other coaches in serving the needs and interests of all student/athletes.
• Combine the reinforcement of basic skills with advanced skills needed for a competitive baseball program.
• Communicate with Athletic Trainer to ensure safety and healthiness of student athletes
• Utilize Strength & Conditioning Coach for conditioning of student athletes.

KNOWLEDGE OF:

• High School Baseball and the complexities of the game/events.
• Current NFHS and NHIAA rules, policies and procedures.
