Assistant Volleyball Coach

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure strict adherence to all NAIA and NCCAA by-laws and regulations.
• Ensure adherence with established institutional compliance rules, policies, and procedures as well as ethical standards of behavior.
• Ensure satisfactory academic performance of student-athletes.
• Ensure the spiritual, physical, emotional, and social welfare of student-athletes.
• Responsible for successful coaching, to include maximizing the team's potential/abilities, keeping athletes eligible, supporting the spiritual development of each player, and retaining athletes through graduation.
• Assist to propagate a comprehensive public relations program.
• Assist the operations of sports camps and/or clinics.
• Learn, understand, and adhere to all NAIA and NCCAA regulations.
• Assist in coordinating and developing organized schedules.

Education:

• No minimum education level required.
• Experience as a student athlete who competed in collegiate athletics; coaches at a high school or club level for at least two (2) years, and/or has been an assistant coach in high school or college at least two years.

Skills:

• Must be creative and innovative; discerning and a thorough planner.
• Must subscribe to the principles and lifestyle of the Wesleyan Church.
• Needs to passionately support and articulate the University mission and vision for athletics within the context of that mission.
• Must demonstrate a mature and expressive Christian faith commitment.
