Description
Assists the Head Women's Volleyball Coach in all phases of the NCAA Division I women's volleyball program. The Assistant Coach assumes the responsibility of running the Women's Volleyball program in the absence of the Head Coach. This position works under general supervision.
Essential Functions:
- Assists in the training and coaching of student-athletes in designated positions based on previous volleyball playing and/or coaching experience and as determined by the head coach.
- Responsible for developing student-athletes to compete successfully at regular season games, conference tournament and NCAA tournament through proper match management, tactical adjustments, post-game & video review critiques & evaluations.
- Scouts opponent's matches to assist in developing a clear game plan to be conveyed to student athletes. Maintains records on game statistics, strategies, and personnel. Also scouts prospective student-athletes video.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Head Coach to support the team.
Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree.

1-3 years of relevant experience.

Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to relate well to individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Previous experience as a volleyball athlete at the collegiate or professional level.

Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
