Description
Reporting to the Head Volleyball Coach, the Assistant Volleyball Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Coach to ensure the program’s success as directly related to the skill development and performance of the student-athletes, as well as the recruitment, retention, and conduct of the student-athletes.
Responsibilities:
- Assists with player development as it relates to proper technique, advanced skill instruction and competition strategy along with team building.
- Assists with evaluation and recruitment of student-athletes.
- Evaluates the performance, conduct, and abilities of individuals and groups as assigned by the head coach.
- Assists, develops, and participates in program planning, contest preparation, scouting, film breakdown, practice sessions, game day activities, and coordinates game and practice schedules.
- Monitors and assists in areas as assigned including all compliance forms (ex. CARA LOGS), travel itineraries, strength and conditioning, camps and clinics, recruitment, admissions, academic pre-reads, NLIs, academic enhancement, equipment, financial planning and budgeting, purchasing, and fundraising.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of relevant coaching experience.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
