Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform all coaching duties in the role as Assistant Coach (refer to Athletics Staff Handbook for responsibilities).
- Represent the Athletics and Recreation Department in an appropriate and professional manner at all times.
- Be knowledgeable about the NCAA Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA).
- Consistent communication with supervisors to inform of status, incidents and needs.
- Attendance at student-athlete seminars, annual coaching/educational clinic, annual orientation sessions and all athletic staff meetings throughout twelve months.
- Securement of Adult CPR Certification, First Aid and AED Certification (American Red Cross). The certifications must be on file prior to the first official practice, i.e. non-traditional seasons.
- Understand, agree to and sign annually the Athletics and Recreation Department's and Conference "Code of Conduct/Sportsmanship” policy. Act consistently in a manner reflective of its intent.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- General knowledge of intercollegiate athletics, strong interpersonal, planning and organizational abilities; and, excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Competence with technology resources and a current driver’s license are vital to fulfilling the responsibilities of this position.
- CPR, AED and First Aid Certifications.
