Description
In accordance with all NCAA, MIAC and College policies and procedures, the successful applicant will possess a proven ability to coach volleyball, as well as recruit the best possible student-athletes within the rules and guidelines of the NCAA and Gustavus Admissions. This individual will help with all aspects of running the women's volleyball program under the direction of the Head Volleyball Coach.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor and evaluate academic performance of student-athletes.
- Effectively communicate and work cooperatively with our coaching staff and athletic department.
- Support and promote the team expectations and vision of the team.
- Actively cultivate and maintain alumni relationships.
- Demonstrate leadership, sportsmanship and professionalism.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Maintain knowledge of, and compliance with, NCAA Division III, MIAC and Gustavus Adolphus College governing rules and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ability to recruit high performing student-athletes.
- Proficiency with social media, video editing, and Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Experience with leading strength and conditioning workouts, preferred.
- Collegiate volleyball experience as a player or coach, preferred.
