Description
The assistant coach reports to the head women's basketball coach and will assist in all facets of operating an accomplished Division I women's basketball program. Duties include instruct, train and coach women student-athletes about the collegiate game and skills development, instruct student-athletes for purposes of academic, social development, compliance requirements, and safety and health considerations, recruit quality student-athletes, assist the head coach in leadership in matters such as team composition, competition strategies and peak performance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree,
- College basketball coaching experience,
- Able to work flexible hours as well as many evenings, weekends and some holidays,
- Valid driver's license with low risk driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Division I college basketball coaching experience.
- Able to demonstrate a good knowledge of NCAA rules.
- Able to demonstrate successful leadership ability, including effective verbal and interpersonal communication skills with staff and student-athletes from diverse backgrounds.
- Able to demonstrate excellent technical knowledge of intercollegiate basketball.
