Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach

Manhattan College, an NCAA Division I institution and member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), is seeking a qualified candidate for a 12 month, full-time position as Women's Basketball Assistant Coach.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Identify, evaluate, recruit student-athletes that meet Manhattan College standards in the classroom.
• Prepare detailed scouting reports that prepare our coaching staff and our players to win.
• Demonstrate through film breakdown, on-court breakdown, and through team meeting what we need to do to win.
• Prepare their skill position (guards) to compete at a championship level in the MAAC.
• Develop challenging workouts that increase skill.
• The goal at the end of the year is a significant improvement in their individual game.
• Significant improvement by the time student-athlete graduates.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree required, Master's Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of full-time prior experience at the Division I level.
• Assertive, outgoing, hard-working and resourceful.
• Demonstrated ability to foster positive relationships and create partnerships with a wide range of constituent groups.
• Ability to design marketing materials; proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Adobe Photoshop preferred.
• Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
